Plans For Sydney Cabaret Nightclub To Be Converted Into Boutique Hotel

The proposal has been submitted.

Plans are underway for popular Sydney cabaret nightclub Slide Lounge to be converted into a 21-room boutique hotel.

As Commercial Real Estate reports, Elli Pty Ltd, owners of the heritage-listed Oxford Street venue, have submitted plans for it to undergo a $2.3 million redevelopment, which would largely be spent on the addition of two new levels on top of the already-existing two-storey building.

A Slide Lounge employee said the nightclub would not move out if the redevelopments do go ahead, however they could not comment on how it would fit into the proposed boutique hotel.

The development application for the building is on public exhibition until June 13.
