Pixies Unveil Video Clip For New Track, 'Ring The Bell'

Peace, love, dishevellment

More Pixies More Pixies

Veteran US alt-rock legends the Pixies have released via YouTube the new video clip for their dreamlike, unusually restrained new single, Ring The Bell.

The track is taken from the band's recent well-received sixth full-length (their first since 1991), Indie Cindy, and follows two young, bohemian-esque women as they traverse dilapidated, abandoned buildings and the depths of the forest on the way to "Terminus" - sadly, not the sinister haven seen on The Walking Dead, but an entirely more innocent hippie dance party in the bush.

Though the track and its clip have generated an admittedly polarised response among fans and commentators, you can't fault the Pixies for constructing a perfectly capable pop ditty uncannily attuned to the aural zeitgeist that permeates the airwaves at the moment.

Have a watch of the washed-out (but not washed-up) revelry below.
