The DDJ-FLX4 takes the place of the highly popular DDJ-400.
Pioneer have released their new beginner DJ controller, the two channel DDJ-FLX4.
The controller takes the place of the highly popular previous beginner controller from the company, the DDJ-400.
The controller works with both Serato and rekordbox and is compatible on PC and Mac. It also features streaming integration for streaming services Soundcloud Go+, TIDAL, Beatport and Beatsource via rekordbox, meaning that budding DJs to not have to download tracks to play them.
It also has a heap of new features, including being USB-C compatible as well as being able to work with Pioneer's mobile rekordbox app which is soon to launch. That means, DJs will be able to DJ with Bluetooth, completely wirelessly.
The controller also can, literally mix for you with its new Smart Fader function. The function automatically adjusts BPM, bass EQ, effects and volume as you slide the cross fader between one track and another, literally doing the mix for you. It allows beginner DJs to create seamless transitions and introduces them to the challenges of mixing across a wide BPM range.
They've also introduced Smart CFX, which maps effects onto the Filter knob, making the filters even more seamless.
