The UK version of the popular car customization show, Pimp My Ride will make a long-awaited return this month. British hip-hop artist Lady Leshurr will host the new version of Pimp My Ride UK. The show will forego traditional network or cable outlets, airing on YouTube as exclusive original content.

Fittingly for a show all about 'pimpin' out basic rides, the show format itself has been given a glow-up, with episodes of the Leshurr-hosted version trimmed to a fast-paced fifteen minutes. The show will also now have a focus on classic car restoration, rather than exclusively focusing on 'pimping' out bombs. The car customization supplies will be provided by eBay and the actual customising will be carried out by Wrench Studios

Lady Leshurr is excited to be hosting the rebooted version of the early 00s MTV staple. The rapper shared the following statement with the series announcement.

"I’m so happy to be a part of this new series of Pimp My Ride! The original series was such a big part of my childhood, so I’m happy to be involved in such a legendary show that was a big part of my life growing up. Get ready to see some of the craziest makeovers ever, with a bunch of heartfelt stories along the way.”

Despite the adjustments made, the producers of the new series, MTV UK promise all of the classic elements that made the original can't miss TV for many will remain present in the shortened format.

"The restoration angle won't come at the cost of the show's classic staples—audio systems, added screens, and some of the most eye-searing paint jobs you've ever seen."
