Melbourne-based Pikelet, led by Evelyn Morris but now performing as a quartet, are set to release the third album under the name, Calluses, on Friday 16 August. Today they gave us a taste of what to expect as they revealed the first single to come from it, Combo.
Calluses is said to be a bold, ambitious and layered record with subtle details and hypnotic depths; a much darker piece of work than its 2010 predecessor Stem.
