One of Sydney/Eora's centres for performing arts, Phoenix Central Park in Chippendale has today announced their fifth season of musical programming that spans alternative pop, mind bending hip hop and classical meets electronic music.
Season V will see bold new work performed by UK-based indie pop outfit Superorganism, emerging Melbourne rapper Agung Mango, Adelaide's newest star Elsy Wameyo, Marcus Whale following his solo album The Hunger a debut performance from Mindy Meng Wang 王萌 & Tim Shiel and more.
Western Sydney based R&B star A.GIRL will also be welcomed back, who performed at the venues digital concert series which is titled HALO.
Creative Director Beau Neilson says, “We are delighted to unveil Season V, the next chapter in Phoenix’s journey, teeming with exciting opportunities for audiences to experience diverse, cutting-edge artistry in Sydney’s most beautiful listening room,
"2022 has been Phoenix’s busiest year yet. Since January, over ten-thousand audience members have experienced performances by over 100 artists,
“Audiences of all ages have been enjoying our free weekly shows, reflecting our mission to lowering access barriers to meaningful experiences in the arts.
"We encourage you to do your research, have a listen to the artists we are presenting via our website and enter the ballot for your chance to see an incredible show.”
