Probably a once-in-a-lifetime show
If you were stressing out about missing legendary Patti Smith play her equally legendary debut album, Horses, in full at Bluesfest next year, never fear: the queen of punk has added a couple of sideshows to her list of to-do when she's in Australia next April.
It's been eight long years smith Smith graced our shores and about 40 years since Horses was unleashed to the world, so these shows will be highly sought after — and understandably so.
The activist, author, poet and visual artist will have two of her original band members (Lenny Kaye and Jay Dee Daugherty) alongside her, as well as long-time bassists Tony Shanahan and guitarist/keys Jack Petruzzelli.
Patti Smith and her band will perform Horses in Sydney on 9 April and Melbourne on 16 April, with tickets going on sale on 22 September. Head to theGuide for further details.
