Australian singer-songwriter Peter Bibby has announced a national tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his debut album, Butcher / Hairstylist / Beautician.
Bibby, renowned for his raw take on working-class Australia and intense live performances, will be reuniting with original bandmates Nicholas Allbrook (Pond) on drums and Johnny Baird on bass to perform the album in full across five Australian cities in March 2025.
Butcher / Hairstylist / Beautician was released in November 2014, as Bibby and other Spinning Top-famed acts dominated the local Perth and Freo scenes. The album boosted the local singer into national acclaim, with songs such as Hates My Boozin and Stinking Rich providing a caricature of Australian life to sing along to.

"It’s hard to believe that 10 years has passed since we dropped this absolute haymaker of a record,” Bibby said of the official anniversary on Thursday.
“Those heady Melbourne days seem like they were just yesterday. Where has the time gone? A lot has changed over the years, but one thing has stayed the same for sure and that is how absolutely killer these songs are. When I listened back to the record to see if I wanted to change anything for the re-release I felt a bit nervous, like I was going to cringe my way through the tracks. I was pleasantly surprised, choosing to change nothing as it is completely unbroken and in need of no fixing.”
“Butcher / Hairstylist / Beautician holds a very special place in my heart, the record that put me on the map, full of songs I wrote before anyone really gave a shit. It’s pure and unaffected by the outside world and paints a detailed picture of a very different time in my life.”
Since the album's initial release in 2014, Bibby has released three more albums and toured internationally, sharing stages with acts like Pond and appearing at major festivals such as Laneway and Falls.
The tour marks the re-issue of the album on vibrant 180g orange vinyl, available now through Spinning Top Records. For those who want to hear the album from start to finish live, Bibby and his Bottles of Confidence will be opening in hometown Fremantle, before jetting to Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
Tickets for the anniversary tour are available now at Spinning Top Music’s website.
