"Not only did she take their hard-earned cash but she deceived them."

A Perth woman who scammed more than 100 people with fake tickets to Listen Out, Post Malone and more has avoided jail time.

As ABC reports, 19-year-old Hannah Rebecca Valentine appeared in court on Friday and was convicted of 53 separate fraud offences, being sentenced to 240 hours of community service as part of a 12-month intensive supervision order.

Earlier this year, Valentine was found guilty of selling fake tickets to various live music events via Facebook and Gumtree, netting around $10,000 from the sales.

"This was a scam, purely and simply a scam motivated by Ms Valentine's greed and selfishness," Magistrate Thomas Hall said in Perth Magistrates Court.

"Not only did she take their hard-earned cash but she deceived them. Some of those people would have even gotten dressed up and attended only to be turned away at the gate, shattering their expectations of having a good day or a good time."

The sentencing handed down was in part due to the fact Valentine had made repayments to almost of those caught up in the scam.
