While Western Australia’s urban pocket has always been a bustling hub for some of the country’s biggest musicians (think Tame Impala, San Cisco, Spacey Jane), Perth’s esteemed Rosemount Hotel aims to provide even more opportunities to support your local muso this month, with a pop-up merch market happening this week.
With Australian Music Month in full swing, the North Perth venue has announced their 2024 schedule to advocate for Australian Music, including an extensive lineup of Australian talent spreading tunes through the venue.
Kicking off at the start of the month, Rosemount’s own Aus Music celebrations has seen artists such as ISHAN, Hands Like Houses, and Autumn Sage play, with Adelaide punk darlings TOWNS sweeping through over the weekend.

The Aus Music merch market will take place in the hotel’s beer garden, teaming up with Rust Management to present items from bands the Late 90s, Shorehaven, and Spici Water, as well as Kiera Jas & Whiskey Jack, to name a few. For those needing more incentive to get up to the northside venue, The Vanns will be playing a full set at the Rosemount following the market, with tickets available here.
“This is our second one, and we hope for there to be many more to come,” The Rosemount’s team told The Music. “The Aus Music Merch Market is the perfect opportunity for the Perth community to get directly involved in the fun, whilst also supporting their local scene.”
“Being a live music venue, we're big champions of Australian music & understand truly how special and unique it is. We celebrate our local & national scene year-round, but we're grateful for Support Act using November to highlight its importance. With Perth having lost venues in recent years, it’s more urgent than ever to preserve this incredible live music community. Aus Music T-Shirt Day is a powerful reminder of how vital it is to stand together and keep this culture thriving.”
According to Support Act’s site, all donations made starting from today (19th November) until the end of the month will be doubled via AAMI’s donation-matching pledge. You can donate online to Support Act here, or bring your trusty coin purse down to the Rosemount Hotel this weekend.
