Paul Kelly is rounding up some of the country’s best artists and hitting the road this December for another edition of his beloved outdoor concert series Making Gravy.

Entering its third year, the acclaimed event will feature Courtney Barnett, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Marlon Williams, with a special appearance from Thelma Plum in Sydney.

The news comes as Kelly details a new greatest hits record and book as he prepares to release classical album 13 Ways To Look At Birds later this month, putting him in the running for Australia’s most prolific artist.

The greatest hits LP, Songs From The South (1985 – 2019), is set for release on November 15 via EMI Australia and will feature classics like Dumb Things and From Little Things Big Things Grow, alongside cuts from his more recent studio LPs, Life Is Fine and Nature, and a new single, When We’re Both Old And Mad, featuring Kasey Chambers.

Meanwhile, his new book, Love Is Strong As Death, is out November 18 via Penguin.
