And back home, Spiderbait add second Melbourne show
With the world in thrall to World Cup fever, Australian rock legend Kram, of Spiderbait fame, has found himself on the other side of the planet, right in the thick of it, living it up as the world's coolest amateur foreign correspondent.
Touching base in this exclusive video message for theMusic.com.au, Kram reveals that while in Brazil, he is playing a show with an Oz-rock supergroup made up of members from iconic local acts Spiderbait, Jet, You Am I and Powderfinger for the benefit of the out-in-force Aussie supporters, which should be a nice little reminder of home for all the distant locals putting in facetime for the Socceroos.
Watch Kram's Brazilian greeting -- the first in a series of planned updates from the jetsetting percussionist -- below:
In further Spiderbait news (that should surprise pretty much nobody), the band have had to add a second Melbourne show to their forthcoming national tour (their first in a decade) after the original gig sold out.

Tickets only went on sale for the tour this morning, but Melbourne's scheduled offering on Friday, August 29, was all snapped up within a matter of hours, prompting the addition of the second gig on Sunday, August 31, for which tickets are available now.
You can still grab a pass for the scheduled Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide shows.
