The duo of Ezekiel Ox and Cory Blight are hitting the road in support of their first album in a long while
Melbourne duo Over-Reactor are hitting the road in support of Cocaine Headdress, their first new album in over five years, this August, and have released new single Judgement Day to help tide over the faithful in the lead-up.
Landing on Friday 7 July, Cocaine Headdress comes after an extended creative period that saw the pairing of multi-talented vocalist Ezekiel Ox and drummer Cory Blight take "the entire process, studio and sound apart, then put it back together again several times".
Our first taste came early last month in the form of the spitfire-like Backbone, while the new tune takes a tack of a deeper groove, its four-to-the-floor, pulsing bass drum and minimal guitar complementing the central synth line to create a layered and off-kilter soundscape that rewards the careful listener as much as it does the purely instinctive one.
The boys will be kicking off their tri-state string of shows at Sydney's Record Crate on Friday 4 August, heading on to Newcastle, Bendigo, Melbourne and Adelaide over the ensuing weeks.
