The instrumental hip hop master brings his killer live show back for us.

More Onra More Onra

One of France's most exciting electronic producers right now, Onra, has just announced his return to Australia with a stack of dates set to happen this July.

He was first in the country back in 2011 not all that long after the release of his 2010 breakout record Long Distance, a smooth slice of chopped up future funk that earned him plenty of praise around the hip hop and electronic music worlds. Those shows were incredibly well-received and we're expecting that plenty of those who saw him on that tour will be returning for another hit.

Since that tour he has leant his hand to a huge number of different projects, including the Yatha Bhuta Jazz Combo, a project owning more to the work of Sun Ra and Alice Coltrane than the hip hop and club style of music he's renowned for making.

His energetic live performances are unlike what you expect from your average producer; if you're at all into instrumental hip hop make sure you check him out this July.
