Olivia Rodrigo Introduces 'Fund 4 Good' Reproductive Rights Initiative

Olivia Rodrigo kickstarted her GUTS World Tour (that doesn’t include Australia yet) last week with special guest Chappell Roan. While she was at it, she took the opportunity to introduce her new reproductive rights initiative, Fund 4 Good.

The tour began on Friday (23 February) at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs, California. While she performed a 95-minute, 22-song setlist separated into five acts – more on that later – before she took to the stage, she shared a TikTok about the new fund.

“I wanted to get on here and tell you about something I’m really excited about,” she said in the video, continuing to introduce the Fund 4 Good initiative.

The global initiative has been launched alongside her GUTS World Tour. Rodrigo explained that the program supports “community-based nonprofits that champion things like girls’ education, support reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence”.

Rodrigo also announced that a portion of all ticket sales from her GUTS World Tour will be donated to Fund 4 Good, while her North American tour dates will find her partnering with local National Network of Abortion Funds charters. On her tour, Rodrigo is currently performing all 12 tracks from GUTS, as well as one of the bonus tracks, Obsessed. In addition to the GUTS songs, she performs nine songs from her debut album, SOUR.

In September, a spokesperson from Universal Music Australia hinted that Olivia Rodrigo could tour Australia this year – at the time of writing, her GUTS World Tour runs from February into August, leaving another four months of the year wide open for Aussie dates.

“Olivia is devastated that she won't be able to make it, however, she's so excited to see her Australian Livies (fans) in 2024,” the spokesperson said. The teaser arrived after Rodrigo cancelled her plans to head down under for a series of interviews last year due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
