Old Man Gloom, the sludge metal group featuring members of Isis, Converge and Cave In are subtly hinting at a 2012 release date for their anticipated fifth studio album.
The band has been quiet since their last studio offering, 2004's 'Christmas', with the respective musicians devoting time to their other notable bands.
Recently, reports have surfaced suggesting the release of a new full-length is a possibility for next year.
"Rumors (sic) have once again begun to swirl regarding a new album from Old Man Gloom. The group…just may release their fifth album next year; at least according to a purported print ad making the rounds from Hydra Head Records.
The ad in question can be found here and if genuine, features a slyly placed “OMG V 2012″ hidden on a book in the background. The text would seemingly refer to the bands long rumored (sic) fifth album arriving sometime next year," ThePRP.com writes.
