Community-driven, artist-run creative space Offbeat Collective has entered 2025 by solidifying a new chapter as an artist-run music label in joint venture with Xelon Digital.
Founded by Jannah Beth and Drew Bisset in 2021, Offbeat Collective began as a studio space in Sydney, available for artists and creatives to collaborate, create and connect, with the ethos of upholding inclusivity and reinvesting back into the artists. As it enters its fourth year, Offbeat has turned into a cultural community hub for artists of all walks of life to access studios and artist development opportunities like ONE OFF TRAKS and UP NEXT, and create a sustainable music culture that pushes underrepresented voices to the forefront.

With a goal of securing stability and support for artists, Offbeat Collective have announced their partnership with global music distributor Xelon Digital as an artist-run label. Their roster of signings champion authentic storytelling from artists like DEVAURA, Sachém, ANESU, Malaika Mfalme, Emerald, Jannah Beth and so many more. Artist and Offbeat director Jannah Beth said the venture is a necessary step into the culture Offbeat Collective has already established over the years.
“Offbeat Collective has always been about artists creating space for other artists,” they said.
“Evolving into an artist-run label feels like the natural next step, an inevitable extension of what we’ve been building. It’s about putting the power back into the hands of creatives and fostering a community where collaboration, independence, and sustainability are at the forefront.”
Kicking off this next era for the label, Offbeat Collective will be releasing a compilation record featuring some key, notable voices in the Offbeat community, and hosting a launch party in celebration.
Held as part of Great Southern Nights on March 29th, the launch party will take place at an Inner West Sydney location, with a stacked slate of performances from Jamaica Moana, Jannah Beth, ANESU, Ruu., Chelle Tamika, G Rebel and a secret afterparty guest. Tickets are available now here.
