The ex-Rainbow singer will play six shows on this side of the ditch in April
Veteran UK rocker Graham Bonnet has announced a run of performances in Australia and New Zealand with his all-star backing band in April next year.
Bonnet, best known for his work with renowned acts such as Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group and Alcatrazz, will be joined by a talented group of instrumentalists led by Fates Warning's Mark Zonder for his six-date Aussie tour, at which antipodean audiences will be treated to live renditions of classic cuts from throughout Bonnet's four-decade-strong catalogue.
Over the past 40 odd years, Bonnet has worked as a solo performer, with Ritchie Blackmore in Rainbow, with Michael Schenker (ex-Scorpion) in MSG, and with both Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai in Bonnet's own outfit Alcatrazz. He's also been a collaborator in Impellitteri, The Party Boys, Anthem and Forcefield, and just got done supporting old MSG running buddy Schlenker and his new outfit Temple Of Rock on a sold-out Japanese tour.
Graham Bonnet's 2016 Australian tour gets under way on Wednesday 6 April at Perth's Amplifier; he'll go on to storm stages in Adelaide (7 April), Melbourne (8 April), Sydney (9-10 April) and Brisbane (10 April) before jetting across to New Zealand to wrap up his antipodean commitments in Auckland (15 April) and Wellington (16 April).
