The renowned global music platform will launch in Australia with a massive event featuring international headliners and iconic residents.

Renowned global music platform and radio station which has been consistently at the forefront of music discovery across the globe, NTS, has this morning announced it is launching in Australia.

The platform is finally touching down in the Southern Hemisphere after almost a decade and will be taking over the Northcote Theatre in Melbourne on Sunday the 19th of March. The event will begin the launch of a new Oceania events offering with a diverse line up of amazing international acts.

The Northcote Theatre will be blessed with left field electronic, experimental techno, reggae and psych rock from renowned artists and notable NTS residents. It includes headliners including Tokyo's Soichi Terada alongside Jamaican trailblazing dancehall icon Sister Nancy.

NTS residents will also be coming down. Shy One, and advocate for London's POC and LGBTQI+ communities will be going back to back with fellow resident Ruby Savage with the expectation they'll play an eclectic mix of house, dub, funk and disco.

The launch is just a taste of what is to come for NTS in Australia with plans for even larger events, take-overs and collaborations across Australia and neighbouring Oceania countries.
