An exciting new festival has been announced that aims to shine a light on the diversely talented Australian country music scene with 60 all Australian acts playing over four days in October this year.

The Murwillumbah County Roots Festival set in the historical town of Murwillumbah, just North of Byron Bay, is the brain child of Lou Bradley, an Australian country music veteran and passionate fan of the genre.

Set to run on the first weekend of October this year, the four day festival will span the large number of acts across three stages and will be hosted by Buddy Goode.

Headlining the show is none other than home grown country sweetheart Kasey Chambers, who will be joined by a myriad of distinctive talent from the likes of The Audreys, Sara Storer, Shane Howard and Richard Clapton only to name a few.

The festival aims to embrace Australian country and roots music in all its distinctive forms with an eclectic line-up of musicians. The festival is sure to establish itself as an unstoppable force on the circuit to fill the space that lacked great country and roots music for all ages to enjoy.

Tickets are available now and for more information on this massive new event, including a look at the full line-up, check out the festival website
