November Tour Confirmed For US Country Legend Charley Pride

One of the most ground breaking artists in popular music, Charley Pride, has announced his return to Australian soil with a series of shows to take place around the country this November.

Pride was the one of the first African American artists to ever have success in the world of country music, and the success he had was immense. He has had no fewer than 39 number one Country Chart hits over the course of his career – only five artists in the history of country music have bettered that feat.

It was the late 1960s and early 1970s that saw Pride at his most popular – at one stage he was the second highest selling recording artist for RCA behind Elvis Presley – but his great songs have aged wonderfully and still sound great after all these years.
