“What an incredible year for Gold Coast music."

Last year saw Amy Shark, Hollow Coves and more win big at the Gold Coast Music Awards, and organisers have today opened nominations for the 2019 event.

The fifth annual awards will celebrate new and established acts across all genres, and there’s no shortage of talent.

The Gold Coast Music Awards are encouraging punters and artists to nominate before February 27, with the 2019 ceremony confirmed for May 2 at Surfers Paradise.

“What an incredible year for Gold Coast music,” Judging Panel Chair and Conservatorium of Music Director Donna Weston said.

“From Fisher’s Grammy nomination, Amy Shark’s sweep at the ARIAs and Hollow Coves European success to the growth of acts like PACES and IVEY, the calibre of artistry coming out of the Gold Coast just keeps getting stronger and stronger.”
