“I’d like to encourage everyone to nominate themselves or their favourite band, artist or business to be in the running for this year’s awards.”
Celebrating the many accomplishments of some of the state’s best established and emerging acts over the past 12 months, the South Australian Music Awards will return this November with nominations across all categories now open.
Entries across both the Industry Voted Awards and People’s Choice Awards categories will remain open until 11:59pm AEST on September 15.
People’s Choice Awards voting will then open to the public on September 22 via theMusic.com.au ahead of the awards ceremony on November 18, which will unfold as a COVID-19 appropriate gala-style event.
“We can’t wait to see you all at the SAMs! It’s been a difficult time for our industry, so the SAM Awards are the perfect way to get together safely to celebrate the SA music community’s achievements over the last year,” Music SA General Manager Kim Roberts said.
“I’d like to encourage everyone to nominate themselves or their favourite band, artist or business to be in the running for this year’s awards.”
Last year, the SAM Awards recorded a number of public votes ahead of its gala event on the lawns of Adelaide Uni Bar which saw Adelaide favourites MOTEZ, Jess Day, Siberian Tiger, Wing Defence and more take home awards.
