Ninajirachi Announces Dark Crystal 3.0 With Doss, Cherry Chola & More

The news comes ahead of new music from the genre-bending EDM star.

More Ninajirachi Ninajirachi Profile

Ninajirachi has proved she’s simply incapable of curating a bad festival lineup, today (April 3) announcing the hotly awaited third instalment of her Dark Crystal event.

In addition to a headlining set from Nina herself, the stacked bill will feature the Australian debut of New York electroclash megastar Doss, as well as sets from Cherry Chola, 1NN35 53LF, and more yet to be announced.

The tour will kick off in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Thursday May 30, with Nina and co. take over The Brightside. They’ll hole up at Max Watt’s in Melbourne (Naarm) the following day (May 31), before wrapping up at the Factory Theatre in Sydney (Eora) on Saturday June 1.

Tickets to all three shows are on sale now – find them here.

In a press release, Nina said of this year’s landmark Dark Crystal lineup: “Doss has been one of my favourite artists and production heroes for as long as I can remember, and it's a literal dream made real that her first tour in Australia is with me and my friends. Dark Crystal started as an idea in 2021 to throw a little party featuring my favourite artists.”

The news comes ahead of new music from Nina, with a follow-up to her striking collab with Izzy Camina (Ninacamina) said to be dropping any day now. That last track arrived in January of this year, landing as the first original track to follow last November’s 4x4 EP (which itself sported team-ups with Ravenna Golden and Kota Banks).

Last year also saw Nina link up with Ben Lee, who praised her as an EDM magnate in the leagues of guitar wizard Steve Vai: “She shreds on Ableton like Steve Vai shreds on an Ibanez,” he said at the time. “Pure magic. It was so cool making [the song Tuck Shop], we had totally different musical touchstones but found a common vibe and musical language to play with.”
