Has been writing with M-Phazes, Robert Delong
Sydney singer and songwriter Nicole Millar has signed a publishing deal with American based BMG/Chrysalis.
The deal was officially signed yesterday and covers the world excluding Australia and New Zealand, where she currently does not have a deal in place. Outside of her own material, Millar came to national attention earlier this year through her guest vocals on Peking Duk’s High, which became an unofficial anthem of winter, going double platinum (140,000 scans and breaking chart records in the process.
Manager Martin Novosel told theMusic.com.au, “As a team we are very happy to sign a deal with BMG/Chrysalis out of the USA. Our A&R there David Stamm has a great history of working with unique artists and Nicole will be at home on a roster of great writers, including a few that she herself is a big fan of – like FKA Twigs, Duke Dumont and Frank Ocean.
“Even in the early period of working with him prior to signing David has been extremely supportive and helpful, helping put us in touch with great overseas based producers who would have previously been outside of our reach, like Cashmere Cat and Felix Snow.”

Novosel added, “Now that the deal is done the real work begins. Nicole has been extremely busy in the studio writing and demoing originals. She has been demoing tracks with a load of great local and international producers, including guys like Oisima, M-Phazes, Nicky Night Time, Kilter, Robert Delong and the previously mentioned Cashmere Cat. Nicole Millar and her team are looking forward to the next step in her young career.”
Millar is booked by Dayna Young at Select Music.
