Nick Oliveri, former member of Queens Of The Stone Age, The Dwarves and Kyuss, was arrested in his Los Angeles home earlier this week after police received a domestic violence call, which also noted that Oliveri's girlfriend was being held inside.
Oliveri's girlfriend told police that he had struck her during an argument the day before, and she had come back to the home to collect her stuff so she could move out. The couple then became engaged in heated argument, which led to Oliveri locking them inside the duplex.
When the police arrived, Oliveri refused to allow the police inside the residence, and would not let his girlfriend leave either. A S.W.A.T. team was called to the scene, and after a two hour stand off, Oliveri finally agreed to let his girlfriend exit the duplex, and two hours after that, he gave himself up without further incident.
When the police searched the home, a fully loaded, high-powered rifle was found to be in his possession.
Oliveri was booked on felony domestic violence, and has since been released after posting $100,000 bail.
