"We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”
This morning, Nick Cave announced the death of his son Jethro Lazenby, aged 30.
He wrote in a statement, “With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away. We would be grateful for family privacy at this time.”
Cave has suffered the death of two sons, after his son Arthur fell from a cliff near Brighton at age 15.
Lazenby worked as a model and actor, modelling for the likes of Balenciaga and Versace. He was recently released from jail, after being found guilty of unlawful assault after attacking his mother in March. During the trial, his lawyer stated that he had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Upon being released, a magistrate instructed that he would undergo substance abuse treatment and avoid contact with his mother for two years.
He was born in 1991 and learnt that Cave was his father at eight years old and only then did he meet him. After his childhood, he moved to the UK to begin his modelling career.
