Nick Cave And More Nominated For 2015 Screen Music Awards

As we announced earlier last month, the Australian Guild Of Screen Composers (AGSC) and APRA AMCOS's 2015 Screen Music Awards is heading back to Melbourne this November, and we've finally got a list of nominees to root for when it swings around. 

Celebrating the premier creators of film and TV music compositions, this year's nominees are led by iconic alt-rocker Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, indie pop musician Georgi Kay, indigenous singer/songwriter Archie Roach, ex-Goanna frontman Shane Howard and Josh Abrahams, purveyors of '90s dance classic, Addicted To Bass.

It's not all renowned musos though — there are plenty of newcomers/first time nominees being recognised, including Jonathan Bush, Hannah Field, Annie Hamilton, Michael Dooley and more.

AGSC's president, Guy Gross, says, "Wow, what a wonderful collection of new names amongst the veterans for this year's nominations. Can't wait to pat some younger back for jobs well done down in Melbourne this year."

The Awards also celebrate achievements in music created for documentaries, short films, children's TV, advertising and feature films.

The 2015 Screen Music Awards will be held on Thursday, 12 November at Melbourne Recital Centre. Check out the full list of nominees below.
