Next Wave welcomes a new artistic director and co-CEO with the appointment of Georgie Meagher.
Commencing in September, Meagher will relocate to Melbourne from Sydney after an impressive career with Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art, Carriageworks and Firstdraft.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Next Wave… It has a fantastic reputation globally and is an incredibly important organisation for emerging artists, writers and curators in Australia," says Meagher.
Next Wave festival is a biennial, city-wide, month-long celebration of avant-garde and formidable Australian and international arts and culture.
