Fresh from premiering their concert film on YouTube, Sylvan Esso have released the film and a 16-track live album of the same name.
Last week, SYLVAN ESSO premiered a new concert film titled WITH, which looks back at the final two performances of the duo's 2019 tour. If you happened to miss the showing, or if you just want to relive it, you're now in luck as Sylvan Esso have not only made the film available to view on demand, but they're also releasing a live album of the same name as well.
The shows that have been captured for this film mark a very special evolution for Sylvan Esso as it captures the tour where the band expanded from its core duo of Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn to a fully-fledged live experience as a ten-piece ensemble featuring musicians who perform with Bon Iver, Wye Oak, Hiss Golden Messenger, Mr. Twin Sister, Hand Habits, Mountain Man and Mandolin Orange. Already an immersive and captivating act to watch in its original form as just Meath and Sanborn, this expansion meant that the live show was now armed with an army of synths, saxophone, two drummers and intricate three-part vocals provided by Amelia with her Mountain Man bandmates.
WITH the film also captures the weeks leading up to these performances and the preparations that went into the shows, during which they played some of their most loved songs including 'Die Young' and 'Coffee'.
