Splendour in the Grass heads to Sydney for new pop-up event

Splendour in the Grass has today announced that Australia's favourite festival is heading to the Harbour City. Splendour in the City is a unique 9 day pop-up experience hosted at Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal from Saturday 10 to Sunday 18 July.

Supported by the NSW Government, Splendour in the City will offer Sydneysiders and visitors a tantalising, nine-day long taste of Splendour goodness with over 20 artists across two rooms, the Comedy Club, long table dining, specialty bars including The Strummer Bar and The Winery, art installations, markets, Little Splendour kid’s program, a Freak VR room pop up and more.

Live music will feature across two rooms during the extravaganza, with a lineup featuring Spacey Jane, Illy, Ocean Alley, Tash Sultana, Running Touch, Triple One, Dune Rats, Ziggy Ramo and heaps more. Alongside the music, Splendour in the City will also feature some of the country’s most hilarious stars of comedy in the Cargo Hall across Saturday 10 and Sunday 11. While all events in the Customs and Cargo Halls are ticketed with all proceeds going to the artists, entry to the general event area is free so patrons can drop by on a whim for dinner or drinks during the nine day pop up.

Splendour in the City is bringing backstage vibes to Sydney, recreating the artist's Strummer Bar alongside a number of the festivals favourite watering holes including the Palm Springs inspired The Winery, Tiny Tinder Bar and more.
