After winning FBi Radio's SMAC Award for 'Music Event Of The Year' in both 2017 and 2018, it's with great pleasure that we're sharing the news today that South-West Sydney experimental art, sound and light festival, Soft Centre, have announced their first round of artists set to appear at this year's festival.
The festival strives to create a space and experiences centred around meaningful engagement. Every Soft Centre lineup has broken free from the cyclical festival cycle, and organisers have instead turned their attention to putting together an event that provokes discussion and has intention.
For the third year in a row, Soft Centre will be bringing experimental electronic music, radical performance art, new media works and large-scale light installation works to its home at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre in South-West Sydney on Saturday, September 14.
This year's festival will see four music stages, with their expansion into CPAC's theatre space and the return of the Georges River stage, dedicated to DJs and producers from the Greater Western Sydney region.
