The Britpop icons will return with a new album

More Cast Cast

Iconic UK band Cast have postponed their Australia/New Zealand tour — which had been due to kick off this Month — until February 2017, citing recording commitments and release plans.

"We are extremely sorry to have to put our Australian and New Zealand touring plans on hold for another eight months, we were so looking forward to heading down under," the band said in a statement.

"When we return it will be to showcase our new album, we can't wait for that."

Formed in Liverpool in 1992, Cast has become on of the most revered bands of the Britpop era, with their live performances described by Noel Gallagher as "a religious experience".
