The devil always throws the best shindigs
Throw out a sign of the cross and say your Hail Marys, West Australians — Perth is set to be taken over by the forces of darkness at year's end as The Bakery welcomes 2015 with the mayhem of New Year's Evil.
The event, which kicks off at 8pm and goes well past the stroke of midnight, will be spread across two rooms at the stalwart Northbridge venue, hosting a line-up of locally sourced legends that also features special guests handpicked by the headliners. As such, expect an unrelenting brvtal wave as the dual stages are occupied by the likes of Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving, Drowning Horse, The Devil Rides Out and Scalphunter.
At those bands' behest, the line-up is rounded out by their specially chosen guests: respectively, emotive rockers Foxes, black-metal stalwarts Drohtnung, The Devil Rides Out bassist Scott Patterson's side project Kaan! and deep-southwest doomcore mainstays Blackwitch.

Pre-sale tickets for the event are available now for an easy $25; if your luck holds out (and you want to push it), you might be able to pick one up on the door — but otherwise head to the Gig Guide or see The Music App to suss your pass.
