The experimental music project's birthday triple threat.

Underground music movement New Weird Australia will celebrate their third birthday with the launch of three new projects.

The first is the travelling gig series called Vagrant, which will offer small grants to local promoters to hold one-off live music events across the country. The first round of shows will take place in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Newcastle during June and July. Some of the artists on the lineup include Holy Balm, Blank Realm, Scraps and Feet Teeth. Dates and venues will be released soon via the Vagrant Facebook page.

New Weird's second announcement will be the launch of the digital music record Iabel Wood & Wire, which will promote experimental music across all genres. To kick-start the label, new music from Melbourne act Peon, electronic artist Emily Grantham, duo BOK Darklord and newcomers Machine Death will be released. Check out these new releases here.

Rounding out the birthday celebrations is Output Device, an ongoing video blog project which will curate new music clips for New Weird artists via Tumblr.
