New Kings Cross Theatre Opens

Say hello to Sydney's newest theatre.

The second level of Sydney's famous Kings Cross Hotel has received a make-over as a new theatre space.

Kings Cross Theatre (KXT), the newest addition to the changing face of Kings Cross, was curated by bAKEHOUSE Theatre Company.  Initially created as a pop-up venue for Sydney's Fringe Festival, the space has been re-configured into a permanent location that can seat 75-90 guests.

The venue was christened by 100 independent theatre makers at a recent low-key event, and is already open for business, staging productions by indie company Lies, Lies and Propaganda. The theatre has been booked for 2016 to showcase productions by Siren Theatre, Kristine Landon-Smith, Tooth and Sinew, and bAKEHOUSE.
