More Dean Lewis More Dean Lewis

Extremely popular Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis has added two dates to his mammoth home tour.

While the tour commences in just a few days and 19 dates have already sold out, it's Sydney and Melbourne fans who score an extra show: Lewis will play additional shows at Sydney's Hordern Pavillion on Friday, 10 March and Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on Saturday, 11 March.

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale on Wednesday, 9 November, at 9 am AEST via Ticketek.

In addition to the extra tour dates, Lewis has released his highly anticipated second album, The Hardest Love, today.

His latest single, How Do I Say Goodbye, has soared up international charts - it's already certified gold in Norway and Switzerland - and accumulated 81 million streams worldwide, peaking at #68 on the Spotify Global Chart, #13 on Spotify US Viral Chart, and Top 20 on Shazam.

The song also charted at #31 on the UK Official Singles Chart and is currently #90 on the Billboard Global 200 Chart. At home, the single is Top 30 on ARIA Single Chart and Top 40 on the Hot 100 Airplay Chart.

It was a lengthy recording process making The Hardest Love; Lewis says, "I started writing the album in this hotel on Sunset in West Hollywood. I wrote in Nashville for a while, then I came back to LA and then went to London… There's a famous quote that says people have their whole life to write their first album and then six months to write the next one. I feel like I've had double the amount of time for this album than the first one."

As the album was mostly recorded remotely, Lewis became a co-producer. "I had to learn how to do a lot more on this one," he revealed. "I had to learn how to record my own vocals for a few of the songs; how to record my own acoustic guitar. All For You I recorded by myself, just me alone at an Airbnb in Malibu."
