Netflix Announces Release Dates For New & Returning TV Shows

We love you, Netflix.

Having almost fully wrapped up the first month of 2016, TV streaming giants Netflix have today announced the premiere dates for some of its new and returning TV shows. 

Leading the way is the acclaimed award-winning drama series House Of Cards which will return for a fourth season and is due to premiere on Friday 4 March. 

Meanwhile, Netflix favourite Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt starring Ellie Kemper also returns for a second season on Friday 15 April, as does comedy-drama Orange Is The New Black with its fourth season available from Friday 17 June.

The recently released Marvel series Jessica Jones has been confirmed to return for a second season after the first installment received rave reviews. Though it is yet to officially be given a release date, it is an impressive accomplishment given it only premiered on Netflix in late November. 

Fan-favourite comedy director Judd Apatow makes his return to TV after his run with cult favourites Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared in the early '2000s with ten-part romantic comedy Love

Apatow serves as the creator, writer and executive producer for the show which also stars Gillian Jacobs of Community and it will premiere globally on Friday 19 February.

Fellow director and Aussie filmmaker Baz Luhrmann will also premiere the first six episodes of his new music-driven drama The Get Down from Friday 12 August, which is based in the South Bronx, New York during the '70s.
