US R&B artist Nelly has brushed off fan concerns that he was "high" at a recent Melbourne gig, TMZ reports.
Fan-shot footage shows the Ride Wit Me rapper and singer's eyes rolling back in his head while a smile is plastered on his face.
Fans shared videos of Nelly, labelling his demeanour "high as eggs,", "cooked outta his mind", and "WASHED, DREDGED, BATTERED AND DEEP FRIED". However, he isn't having a bar of it.
American television host Anthony Adams posted photos of Nelly to his Instagram story, and the rapper and singer re-posted to his stories with an abundance of cry-laughing emojis (per TMZ).
Nelly is in Australia for Juicy Festival, which hosts a line-up that also boasts R&B and hip hop royalty in Ne-Yo, Ja Rule, Bow Wow, Xzibit, Chingy, Pretty Ricky, Mya, Lloyd, and Twista. Tonight, Juicy Festival hits Perth.
Back in 2018, Nelly was under criminal investigation for sexual assault that allegedly took place in the UK in 2017.

As TMZ reported, the incident allegedly occurred after the US rapper's concert at Cliffs Pavilion in Essex on 5 December where he invited a woman to his dressing room.
It is alleged the 43-year-old sexually assaulted the woman and attempted to force her to perform a sex act on him.
Nelly denied the accusations through attorney Scott Rosenblum.
"These allegations arose after Ms Green amended her suit for money to include a reference to these claims," Rosenblum told TMZ.
"The fact that the police are investigating these claims is not new information and Nelly welcomes a thorough investigation. Nelly is confident that once investigated, these claims will be determined to be disingenuous.
"Nelly was accompanied by his girlfriend during this tour and she was at his side throughout. It is important that police investigate every allegation of this nature."
The news came just months after Nelly denied allegations of sexually assaulting another woman on his tour bus.
