The boys will drop a dual single in celebration before hitting JamGrass Music Festival this month
Stalwart purveyors of finger-pickin'-good alt bluegrass licks, Mustered Courage, have been named as the latest act to be welcomed into Universal Music Australia's country and roots label, Lost Highway, with the Melbourne-bred fun-time factory releasing not one but two singles in honour of the signing.
The band made the announcement on their Facebook page at the weekend, rather humbly pointing to Lost Highway's role in making and breaking some of the world's foremost roots and country artists, such as Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson and several others, and revealed that they'll be headed into the studio in the near future to capitalise on the new partnership.
"Exciting news!" the band enthused in the post. "We are extremely pleased to announce that we have signed with Lost Highway Australia, part of the Universal family.
Lost Highway has signed and been instrumental in the careers of some of the biggest roots and country artists in the world … We will be heading into the studio very soon to cut a new record and we believe that Lost Highway & Mustered Courage could very well be a match made in Heaven."

The band's celebratory dual-single release is available via iTunes, and features a studio version of their wonderful cover of Seal's Kiss From A Rose, plus their sublime new instrumental, Candle Creek.
You can catch Mustered Courage in the flesh when they return from the United States to play the forthcoming JamGrass Music Festival in Melbourne at the end of this month with Sal Kimber & The Rollin' Wheel, Raised By Eagles, The Seals, and many more.
