Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has spoken candidly of his desire to once again work in a professional sense with former bandmates James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, with the iconic metal musician citing his wish to form a "supergroup".
Renowned previously as one of metal's most fractured relationships, the friendship between Mustaine and the aforementioned members of Metallica has seemingly been rekindled over the years. Speaking this week to Cindy Scull of Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas radio station 97.1 The Eagle Rocks, the Megadeth vocalist/guitarist outlined his feelings about the possible musical venture.
"I've talked to Lars and James about me and David [Ellefson, MEGADETH bassist] doing a supergroup record with Lars and James. Well, James never said 'no,' but it's still kind of out there in the air. I'm gonna keep hammering on him. It's on my bucket list," Mustaine said, as transcribed by Blabbermouth.net.
