Applications are now open for funding for bands and management to attend major industry conferences and trade shows
Are you a band or manager looking to showcase at a conference or trade fair? If, like the rest of us, you're pretty skint, don't give up hope just yet. MusicNSW has just announced their third round of the Quick Response Grant Progam to support up-and-coming artists and management who need to get their music heard.
The Quck Response Artist Program focuses on attendance at Australian industry events so that artists and managment can develop Australian and international networks in order to break overseas markets. It also aims to build the business skills required to capitalise on such opporunities that would otherwise be cost prohibitive to artists.
MusicNSW recently stumped up $23,000 in Quick Response funding for the recent BigSound conference in Brisbane. The lucky recipients included Winter People, Shady Lane, Fishing, Oliver Tank, Flume, Aston Shuffle and management for Jack Ladder and Loon Lake.
To be considered for a Quick Response Grant, you must be based in NSW and have completed all the relevant application documents by midnight on Tuesday 16 October.
