Musicians Lend Their Support To The Jackie Orszaczky Music Lecture & Concert

A night for one of Sydney's lost stars.

In conjunction with APRA AMCOS, the inaugural Jackie Orszaczky Music Lecture is taking place at The Basement on May 10.

Orszaczky was a Hungarian Australian bassist, bandleader and composer whose enduring influence on the musicians and lives surrounding him is being is being honoured by his peers with this collaborative event.

The night will feature a guest lecture from Asleep At The Wheels' Lucky Oceans, and a band built from talented players including Tina Harrod, Darren Percival and Dave Symes that will perform Orszaczky penned songs.

In the lead-up to the event there is also The Jackie Orszaczky Composition Competition, open to all APRA members, in which the best piece composed in the spirit of the man's music will receive a $2000 prize.
