The Smashing Pumpkins announce sideshows
Following last Friday’s record sellout of this year’s Splendour in the Grass festival, Secret Sounds are excited to announce that festival headliner The Smashing Pumpkins will be playing very special sideshows in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. For these headline performances, The Smashing Pumpkins will be debuting a unique stage design in Australia created to reflect the visual themes to go along with the full presentation of their new album, “Oceania” – which is set for release on June 22, 2012, through Create/Control – as well as playing plenty of classic Pumpkins catalogue. Said Billy Corgan of the new show: "Australia is the perfect place to usher in a new era of The Smashing Pumpkins, where we look to combine an epic rock show with the latest in visual mapping technology to create a one-of-a-kind experience for our fans.” Alt rock’n’rollers Wolfmother will join The Smashing Pumpkins as special guests in Sydney and Melbourne. Wolfmother’s self-titled debut album catapulted them...

Impending Doom announce Australian tour
Impending Doom is one of the defining metal bands of our generation who are set to annihilate Australian audiences for the first time this September. Conjured, cobbled together and consecrated from the same dirty and fertile Inland empire earth that has spawned much of the so-called “deathcore” movement. Impending Doom has actualized the brand new sub-genre dubbed “Gorship” from a synthesis of savage death metal, intense atmospheric and subversive melody hatched from a formula melding the aggressive angst of Slipknot, the modern metal brutality of Lamb Of God, the stop-start riffage of Fear Factory and the trailblazing experimentation of the Deftones.  Impending Doom return with their brutal fourth full length album Baptized In Filth, a career defining statement showcasing them at their ‘furious and unforgiving best’- Decoy Music Hailing from the laid back suburbs of the Gold Coast, Prepared Like A Bride are cementing themselves as one of the most exciting and brutal hardcore ban...

Panic Records signs I Can See Mountains
2012 has been an incredible year for new bands and has been key in the growth of Panic Records. I'm extremely excited to welcome yet another up and coming band to the Panic family, Buffalo, NY's, I Can See Mountains! Growing up on the West Coast and visiting Gilman St on a regular basis I was always seeing bands like Crimpshrine, Jawbreaker and Monsula, I Can See Mountains could have easily existed in the East Bay scene at that time, I'm happy that they exist in 2012 though, gives me a dose of yesterdays and music that I fell in love with. Maybe I'm being nostalgic, maybe I just have great taste in music (yea, I do)...either way, I Can See Mountains is right up my alley and I'm stoked to have them as a part of this thing of ours. Panic Records will be re-releasing I Can See Mountains debut EP, Hope You Never Get It, this Summer on 12" Vinyl, CD and Digital formats. While the band completes the writing process for their debut LP, Hope You Never Get It will have to tide you over. Ch...
