“I’m extremely grateful for my time as CEO of Music SA and proud of what’s been achieved for musicians."
Beloved Adelaide music personality Lisa Bishop has announced her resignation as CEO of Music SA.
Having joined Music SA in 2015, Bishop will be stepping down at the end of April after being a key player in the state’s thriving music scene.
“I’m extremely grateful for my time as CEO of Music SA and proud of what’s been achieved for musicians,” Bishop said.
“You are only ever as good as the people you surround yourselves with and I have an incredible team, an outstanding Chair, a supportive board and a very switched on network of local and national music industry stakeholders. It has been a pleasure to work in the role and I am looking forward to supporting Music SA’s future endeavours.”
Over the past five years, Bishop has launched Umbrella Festival, the rebranded South Australian Music Awards, introduced the annual Live Music Census and more.
“Lisa has been an outstanding leader and, over the past five years, has taken Music SA from strength to strength,” Music SA Chair Anne Wiberg said.

“Lisa leaves the organisation in a stronger and healthier position for the time that she spent as CEO and we wish her the very best with her future endeavours.”
It’s expected the role of Music SA CEO will be advertised shortly, with Bishop’s successor starting in May.
