Australian music legend Marcia Hines has returned with the announcement of a new greatest hits album, Still Shining: The 50th Anniversary Ultimate Collection, due for release on Friday, 7 July via ABC Music.

In addition to the album, Hines is hitting the road on weekends from July through to November, taking her Still Shining show to regional centres across the country. You can find all the tour dates below.

The greatest hits collection contains 20 of Hines’ career-defining moments (or 22 for the digital version). Tracks like From The Inside, You, Something’s Missing (In My Life) and many more appear on the album, as well as two new songs, Last One Standing and Hard To Breathe, both written and recorded by Michael Fatkin

Last One Standing will be sent to radio on Friday, 7 July. "I have to admit that the release of Still Shining is as exciting as the release of my very first album,” Hines said in a statement. "Honestly, some things never get old ... It’s an honour to still be releasing music and playing to live audiences around the country.”

In 2013, Hines celebrated her 40th anniversary as an entertainer, with career achievements to her name including a top-five cover of James Taylor's Fire And Rain, 18 albums, 29 singles (seven of which reached top-ten status), more than 2.6 million sales, and, of course, seven years spent as a familiar small-screen face on Australian Idol.

Earlier this year, Hines appeared on the Australian Idol reboot, an experience she felt “honoured” by. “I’m returning to Australian Idol in 2023 as a guest judge!” Hines said. "I feel honoured to have been asked to come back. Australian Idol is a great vehicle for uncovering some fantastic Australian talent. What a ride!”
