Tenacious D Rize Up On US TV

With their new album Rize Of The Fenix dropping this week, Tenacious D are hitting the promo track hard.

Last week they premiered their promo clip Roadie (starring Danny "Fuckin" McBride) on Funny Or Die (see below), this week the Deez are set to perform on both Late Show With David Letterman (Ten, 11.30pm weeknights) and Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (Comedy Channel, 11pm weeknights).

Catch the Letterman appearance on Tuesday and Fallon on Wednesday.

On Friday night, Fallon will feature a rare US TV performance by Paul Weller while on Wednesday, Letterman will feature Best Coast.

And after a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show that made the UK program's colourful host seem positively restrained in comparison, Rufus Wainwright will grace the stage on Conan (Gem,11.30pmish Wednesday - Saturday) this Saturday.

If you're at home to see Wainwright on Saturday, you may as well flick across to rage (ABC1, after 11pm sometime), where The Temper Trap will be guest programming (coming up the following weekend is Gang Of Four).

And, Thursday at 9.30pm brings another edition of MusicMax's Great Music Cities Of The World - this week exploring Detroit with Suzi Quatro, Alice Cooper and Kim Fowley.
