Muse have recently discussed their new album, which is planned for next year.

Drummer, Dominic Howard, told NME magazine that the follow-up to 2009’s, ‘The Resistance’, could mark a slight change in sound for the British band.

Bassist Chris Wolstenholme also spoke of the new release, explaining the band have been jamming on the road before doing some sessions later this year:

“We've got Reading Festival in August and maybe a few weeks off after that. So September, October time we’ll get into the studio and start writing and working on the songs."

Howard re-iterated that the new album was still a long way off but assured fans it will be ready for 2012:

“It takes as long as it takes really, because you have to love it before you can just chuck it out there and into the real world. But definitely next year.”
