They want school speeches, diary entries, letters, anything

More Mumford & Sons Mumford & Sons

You may have heard of Global Citizen Festival in New York last week, a charity festival that ended up on our newsfeeds all weekend for hosting killer collaborations between Beyonce and both Ed Sheeran and Eddie Vedder. That's not all they're responsible for though, the international advocacy organisation actually have a number of projects with the ultimate goal of eradicating poverty.

Global Citizen today announced that British rocker Ben Lovett of Mumford & Sons, along with the artist-led organisation he founded called Communion Records, will be curating a special charity album called Metamorphoses, which invites individuals from all corners of the globe to submit diaries, poems, writings, thoughts and memories. The end goal is that a number of world-famous musicians will rework the submissions into songs, and thus an album.

Lovett, Communion Records and Global Citizen unveiled this video at the Global Citizen Festival last week.
