"The eight eye-catching vibes capture the style and sex appeal of the band perfectly."
Veteran hair-metal icons Mötley Crüe may have hung up their stage leathers on their gargantuan final world tour last year but they're clearly not ready to be totally forgotten about yet, with the band announcing the impending release of their own series of vibrators slated for this September.
The news actually broke late last week — while we were all focused on Splendour and trying hard not to think about Mötley Crüe sex toys — in a statement from adult-toy manufacturer Lovehoney Trade that was consequently picked up by Loudwire, following the product line's unveiling at the recent Adult Novelty Manufacturers' Expo (ANME) in Los Angeles.
The line of vibrators — which will feature eight models all up, comprising four mini and four standard-size variants — feature artwork inspired by the band's albums, including seminal listens such as Dr Feelgood, Too Fast For Love, Shout At The Devil and Girls Girls Girls.
Lovehoney sales manager Sabrina Earnshaw said in the statement that the company was "thrilled" to have picked up the deal with Mötley Crüe, and is looking forward "to be able to add some true rock icons to our catalogue".
"The eight eye-catching vibes capture the style and sex appeal of the band perfectly and deliver the power and pleasure you’d expect from ‘The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’," she said.

"The toys are targeted predominantly at rock fans, but even those unfamiliar with the band are bound to enjoy them just as much thanks to the high quality, intense power and gorgeous designs."
Incidentally, these aren't the only hard-rock vet-themed vibes doing the rounds amid Lovehoney's catalogue — they also have a (somewhat unsettling) series of toys dedicated to fellow metal-umlaut torchbearers Motörhead.
Lovehoney estimates that the Official Mötley Crüe Collection will be shipping out to retailers from September, and are available for pre-order now. See Lovehoney Trade's website for more information.
